What is the plot of We Live In Time?
The romantic melodrama sees Pugh star as an up-and-coming chef (Almut Brühl) and Garfield a recent divorcée (Tobias Durand) who are unintentionally united by a chance meeting that alters the course of their lives and sets them off on a journey which is shaped by the constraints of time. Not before long, they embark on a moving decade-spanning romance.
As per the film's logline, viewers can expect to see the following: 'Through snapshots of their life together - falling for each other, building a home, becoming a family - a difficult truth is revealed that rocks its foundation. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken.'
Without spoiling too much, it's safe to say that We Live In Time will be a real tearjerker, that encapsulates what it means to truly live in the moment.
Who will make up the cast of We Live In Time?
The principal cast of We Live In Time feature Pugh and Garfield, both of which are no stranger to playing characters who have relationships complicated by their surrounding circumstances. Take Garfield's role in the Spiderman franchise, for example, and Pugh starring in Little Women, Lady Macbeth, Don't Worry Darling and Oppenheimer.
The film includes a number of steamy scenes, which Garfield opened up about during an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with host Josh Horowitz, earlier this year.
The 41-year-old actor recalled a particular moment of filming one of these scenes went further than expected. 'We do this first take of this very intimate, passionate sex scene. And it's a closed set, which means it's only me and Florence in a room together and the camera operator, who is our DP, a very lovely man called Stewart,' he explained.

'The scene becomes passionate, and we choreographed it and we get into it, as it were, and we go a little bit further than we were meant to just because we never heard 'cut' and it's feeling safe and we're like, "OK, we'll go to the next thing and the next thing, we'll let this progress".'
Before long, Garfield felt as though he and Pugh were 'telepathically saying to each other, "This definitely feels like a longer take".' Garfield then stood in front of the audience to reenact what both actors saw when they ended the scene. 'I look up, and in the corner is Steward and our boom operator. Stewart has the camera by his side, and he's turned into the wall.'
Others cast members in the film include Grace Delaney, who stars as Ella, the couple's daughter, as well as Adam James, Marama Corlett, Aoife Hinds, Heather Craney, Douglas Hodge and Niamh Cusack.
