Pictures have emerged of Kate Cassidy, 25, buying two bags of dog food with her rescue pup Nala in Florida a week after her boyfriend Liam Payne 's heartbreaking death at the age of 31. The model, who is from the US, was photographed looking downcast as she was leaving Jake's pet supplies.

The adorable dog was understood to be doted on by Liam, who previously described the encounter which led to the adoption with his fans. Earlier this year, the former One Direction singer opened up about a heartwarming "meet and greet with a couple of dogs". After introducing Nala to his home, he said in a social media post: "I really love her. She is so cute. She is a tiny new member of the family for a while.

Kate added: "We did a meet and greet with three different dogs and this one fitted us best. She's so sweet. She's only four months old.

"She was abandoned by her previous owners and dumped at the shelter. We wanted to give her a second chance and a better life."

Kate and Liam started dating in October 2022 and made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the Fashion Awards that same year.

The heartbroken social media influencer told her followers she's been at a "complete loss" following Liam's passing.

Liam fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel, in Argentina, last week, sending shockwaves around the globe.

His death is being treated as "inconclusive" by police and prosecutors who are continuing to investigate the tragedy.

A distraught Kate said in a gutwrenching statement on Friday: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way.

"I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private."

She signed off: "Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
