Liam Payne death investigation takes new twist as arrested man makes surprise statement
In light of the tragedy involving Liam Payne, one of the three suspects under investigation has come forward expressing their willingness to cooperate with authorities. The world was left reeling by the death of the One Direction star last month, with fans globally grieving the 31 year old's untimely demise. After the horrific incident in which Liam fell from the third-floor balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel, reportedly whilst under the influence of an illegal substance, Argentinian police have been meticulously combing through evidence to uncover what led to his fall.
Earlier this month, news broke of three arrests made in connection to the singer's passing. Currently, Braian Nahuel Paiz is among those being investigated and held in relation to the case, and he's broken his silence in an interview with US Weekly. In the interview, he said to the publication: "I want to contribute everything: my phone, everything to the investigation. I have nothing that can harm me. The other thing is to contribute what I saw personally and what I experienced firsthand."
Prosecutors in Argentina, following thorough investigation, have now charged three individuals – including Braian – with several offences, one facing charges of "the abandonment of a person followed by death".

Charges have been levelled against a hotel employee and another individual in connection to drug supply, but all three accused strongly refute the allegations.
Braian shared his brief interactions with Liam, telling the media: "We met up with Liam, [it was] chill. We met, we listened to some music. He asked me what kind of music I liked, hip hop or dance. I told him dance."
He mentioned that his job at a local restaurant led to their meeting, after which the star reached out to him through a secretive "burner" Instagram account.
While he acknowledged visiting Liam's place, he denied any claims of drug provision, stating: "No, we just saw each other. The person who was there before [me], I suppose, left him the box of soap and everything [that smuggled the drugs up to his room]."
He described being asked to leave by Liam when someone else arrived, adding: "I don't know what was going on, what was that. I realized, because I had my back turned and he turned around, what was going on. I turned around, got up, opened the door and there was no one."
Reflecting on Liam's passing, he said: "It was really bad. I got really sad, really bad at work. ... It took everything from me."
