Kym Marsh's boyfriend makes declaration of love with moving statement
The boyfriend of Kym Marsh has sent a huge message of love and support to the actress following her victory in an emotional battle. Kym has been campaigning the government to recognise early losses in pregnancy with a certificate. The actress lost her baby boy Archie in 2009, who was tragically born 18 weeks prematurely.
On BBC Breakfast on Wednesday, 9 October, 48-year-old Kym spoke emotionally of the decision by the government to extend the certificates, which means parents will now have their child's life officially recognised no matter how far back the loss occurred. Her appearance led her boyfriend, Samuel Thomas – who is 19 years Kym’s junior – to post his emotional message.
“So proud of this amazing woman this morning,” he posted alongside a picture of Kym being interviewed on the breakfast show. “Speaking on @bbcbreakfast about the importance of ‘baby loss’ certificates and being part of the campaign to make these certificates a possibility.”

He then signed off declaring: “I love you and the amazing thing you’ve helped to achieve,” followed by a heart emoji. On the show, Kym expressed how much the decision meant to her. "Well, I'm very emotional this morning actually so I apologise if I start to get upset!" she said. "These certificates mean so much as we've heard already it makes your baby not just a statistic, my Archie was here, I gave birth to him, I held him, we had a funeral, he mattered, he mattered to all of us."
She added: We're so delighted, this is a huge win, a huge win for all of us and a huge win for saying goodbye, it's just fantastic."
The pair met while both working in the theatre production of 101 Dalmatians: The Musical. Kym and Samuel went public with their romance in July, when Kym took to her Instagram as she called Sam her soulmate. “Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou,’” she wrote alongside a picture of them kissing.
Sam also took to his own Instagram account, sharing a black and white photo of the two touching foreheads. "I didn't expect you, but here you are. I love you," he penned alongside a red heart emoji. Returning the sentiment, Kym responded: "Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too."
Since going public with their relationship Kym, who divorced from third husband Scott Ratcliff last year, has found herself having to defend the age gap between herself and Samuel after the post was met with many negative comments from cruel trolls who criticised the new relationship .
