Who is Kate Middleton's best friend Sophie Carter?
The Cambridges looked like any ordinary family, attending the wedding of Kate’s friend Sophie Carter and Robert Snuggs at St Andrew’s Church in Letheringsett, Norfolk, at the weekend.
Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, who are well versed in performing page boy and flower girl duties, were part of the bridal party.
Dressed in adorable white and blue outfits from Amaia Kids, mum Kate matched her children in a cornflower blue Catherine Walker outfit, worn on the royal tour of Germany last year.
Prince Louis, who is around five months old, was not present.
At one point, the bride was even seen holding Princess Charlotte, as the group posed for photographs – but what is her link to the royals?
Kate and Sophie’s friendship dates back to childhood, before she became royal and the pair were often seen together at charity events and Wimbledon. Sophie even invited Carole and Michael Middleton to her nuptials.
Sophie is part of the Norfolk set that Kate and William socialise with, particularly while they lived at Anmer Hall.
She used to date one of William’s pals Thomas van Straubenzee and her brother Robert is married to one of Kate’s friends, Hannah Gillingham.
Kate chose Sophie to be one of Princess Charlotte’s godmothers and she attended her christening in 2015. She even accompanied the Duke and Duchess to a church service at Sandringham, in 2017.
Sophie was also a guest at Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ wedding last May and attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials in May.
