Kaia Gerber's Surrealist Naked Minidress With Abstract Stripes Has The Perfect Level Of Fringe Detail
Kaia Gerber continues to prove how interesting a minimalist wardrobe can be. The model, who tends to stick to simple, luxurious staples both on and off the red carpet, pulled off another effortlessly chic look while attending the 2024 Time100 Next gala in New York City on Wednesday night.
Gerber slipped into a black minidress taken straight from Ferragamo’s SS25 ready-to-wear runway. The piece was entirely see-through, with smooth black vertical stripes that flowed down the dress and at the hem broke out of their cage and became swooshing fringe. The stripes-turned-strands hung off the bottom of the minidress like hammocks, dangling as Gerber walked and putting a surrealist spin on the sophisticated black-tie look.

The naked dress had an asymmetric high neckline that left one shoulder sleeveless. Gerber wore the quirky mini over only a nude thong, styling it with black pieces to match her stripes: pointy black pumps and a small leather handbag.
That seemed to be it for accessories for her monochrome ensemble. As for glam, Gerber wore her chocolate hair down in beachy waves and had on a bronze smoky eye and a glossy brown lip.
The Time100 Next gala recognizes leaders to watch in all sectors: health, climate, business, sports, entertainment, and more. Others in attendance included pop princess Sabrina Carpenter (who shimmered in an electric silver gown), Bridgerton actor Nicola Coughlan, Emily in Paris’ Ashley Park, and 'On My Mama' singer Victoria Monét.
