Bonnie Tyler, the Welsh singer famed for her 1983 chart-topping hit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', resides in a stunning seaside village on the Welsh coast when she's not in the spotlight. Born Gaynor Sullivan, the 73-year-old is renowned for her distinctive husky voice and her biggest hit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'.
Bonnie first shot to fame in the late 1970s with her 1977 album The World Starts Tonight, which included popular singles 'Lost in France' and 'More Than a Lover'. Her single 'It's Heartache', from her album Natural Force, climbed to number four on the UK Singles Chart and number three on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Later, the Welsh songstress found success in Europe during the 1990s with songwriter Dieter Bohlen who penned 'Bitterblue'. She also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013.

Prior to her successful singing career, Bonnie grew up in Skewen, Neath, Wales in a four-bedroom council house alongside her three sisters and two brothers. Despite her global success, Bonnie has remained true to her roots, now residing in Mumbles on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea Bay with her husband, property developer Robert Sullivan.
The couple, who have no children, have invested in property worldwide including 22 homes in Berkshire and London and a farm in New Zealand.
The couple also boasts a five-bedroom property in Albufeira, Portugal, located in the picturesque Algarve region. Bonnie reportedly divides her time between South Wales and Portugal, expressing her fondness for the Gower coast.
She shared with the BBC: "I love Mumbles and the Gower coast."
She added, "When we get the weather you couldn't be in a better place. I always loved it down this way and I like keeping close to my family."
Mumbles is celebrated for its unique boutique shops, independent retailers, and a lively dining scene that serves everything from fresh seafood to fine charcuterie. The charming village is also home to numerous beauty salons, a luxury spa, and an award-winning hairdresser, not to mention its beautiful beaches.
Bracelet Bay is particularly noteworthy, boasting an award-winning beach with a rocky coastline and breathtaking views of its lighthouse. Beachgoers can delve into rock pool explorations or take a cautious swim in its waters.
Just a stone's throw from Mumbles, Limeslade Bay is a rugged, sheltered cove that has earned accolades such as the Rural Seaside Award and Green Coast Award.
According to Rightmove, properties in Mumbles had an average price of £334,171 over the past year. Terraced houses were the most commonly sold property type, fetching an average of £294,037, while semi-detached homes went for £406,600 on average, and flats sold at an average price of £204,167.
In general, the selling prices in Mumbles over the past year were four percent lower than the previous year, but five percent higher than the 2021 peak of £319,355.
