I'm A Celeb star explains what happens when you have your period in the jungle
As this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! gets underway, viewers are excited to see what happens to the likes of WAG Coleen Rooney, boxer Barry McGuigan, Loose Women host Jane Moore and former Strictly pro Oti Mabuse.
But we're all also keen to know what goes on behind the scenes – so it's just as well former campmates like to lift the lid on what really happens in the jungle and what isn't shown on TV. Frankie Bridge, who appeared on the ITV reality show back in 2019, has previously been open with fans about how the show is made.
Taking to Instagram, The Saturday's star dished juicy details about the show, including what happens when the women get their period in the jungle. Frankie, who starred on the UK series in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, was answering questions about her time in Wales' Gwrych Castle when she was asked: "Possibly a little TMI but was there special allowance for anybody having their period?"

The Loose Women star replied: "Lots of period questions. I was dreading having one in the camp! Think most of us were!" Frankie, who beat husband Wayne's I'm A Celeb position when she came third in the series, explained: "No special allowances were made."
She continued: "But eco-friendly sanitary products are supplied and there's a medic on site at all times. So if anyone was in pain, relief could be offered obviously." In 2014, Kendra Wilkinson flopped at her third Bucktucker Trial, insisting it was because she was on her period.
The former model was voted to face the Catecombs of Doom, but only found two stars in the 10 minutes she was given as part of the challenge. She placed the blame of her poor performance on it being on her time of the month - which she has announced several times to the camp and hosts Ant and Dec.
More than a quarter of her time had gone before she'd put her hand into the first hole to even try to claim a star, because she was "scared" of a baby crocodile. She said: "I'm so scared, I don't like this stuff."
The next room in the Catacomb involved Kendra putting her hand inside skulls to get stars, and despite one of them containing fish guts she was able to get one.
However, the next stage would see her stumble - despite getting another star after crawling through a tunnel containing a snake, she refused to continue. Ultimately, she shouted: "I'm a celebrity... get me out of here!"
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! begins at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, 17 November
