For the event, Mirren wore her long hair loose with a black headband, and a black long-sleeved lace dress for the event.
Young Basil wore a denim button up shirt, dark jeans and black sneakers.
It is thought that Basil is the son of Alexander Hackford, Mirren’s stepson. Since marrying director Taylor Hackford in 1997, she became stepmum to two sons.
However, her eldest stepson, Rio Hackford, died aged 51 in April 2022 of uveal melanoma, an aggressive and rare form of cancer.
In a statement made to People magazine at the time, Mirren and her husband said they “are both inspired by the life of our son and stepson, Rio Hackford, and heartbroken by his loss.
