Harry and Meghan reveal new organisation name - and inspiration for calling son Archie
Prince Harry and Meghan have revealed the name of their new non-profit and shared the reason they called their son Archie.
The couple, who officially stepped back from royal duties a week ago, had been intending to take a break for a few months, focusing on their family and their place in the battle against the coronavirus outbreak.
But The Daily Telegraph obtained paperwork for the Sussexes new organisation and have confirmed it will be called Archewell.
The name comes from the Greek word ‘Arche’, they said, which means source of action.
It’s also the inspiration behind their son’s name, Archie.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Meghan and Harry said: “Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of ‘Arche’ - the Greek word meaning ‘source of action’.
“We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name. To do something of meaning, to do something that matters.
“Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."

Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, are believed to be house hunting in Malibu, California, after leaving Canada as the border between the two countries closed to tourists to tackle the spread of COVID-19.
They had previously committed to life in Canada, which is a Commonwealth country, but now appear keen to be closer to Hollywood.
The Telegraph says paperwork connected to the organisation shows they could organise support for persons in need, and run a website in the field of nutrition, general and mental health.

Before she met Harry, Meghan was an actor who ran a lifestyle website called The Tig, named after her favourite kind of wine.
At the end of March, ahead of their final day as senior royals, they signed off from their Sussex Royal Instagram account, and more recently, turned off the commenting function.
“What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic,” the pair said in their final social media post.
They added: “As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.
“While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

They have agreed not to use the word royal in future branding, over copyright concerns in the UK.
The COVID-19 outbreak hit closer to home for the couple when it was confirmed that Harry’s father, Prince Charles, tested positive for the disease.
He had only mild symptoms and recovered, spending seven days in self-isolation.
Harry and Meghan will be in lockdown in California, having arrived as there as a stay at home ordered was issued across the state.
But when they are allowed to explore their new surroundings, they will find plenty of celebrity neighbours, as well as the benefits of being close to Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
