Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway's fuming four-word reply as Rob Rinder shuts her down on air
Kate Garraway was left fuming with her co-star Rob Rinder during Friday's Good Morning Britain after he shut her down live on air following a heated debate. Kate, 57, then pleaded Rob, 46, to back down as they clashed over whether the UK should offer young workers similar tax breaks to those proposed in Portugal.
The Iberian nation is considering granting novice workers progressive tax relief, starting with a tax-free inaugural year of employment, aimed at deterring the youth from seeking opportunities abroad. Presenters Kate and Rob questioned whether the UK should introduce the same policy, debating the topic with Jovan Owusu-Nepaul and Charlie Rowley.
Jovan, a political commentator, voiced his support for such a policy while Rob pressed Charlie with several probing questions.

He said: "Do you know how many people are unhoused in this country? Do you know how difficult it is to save up for a deposit? Do you think most people who start their first job with that amount of student debt can get on the housing ladder?".
In response, Charlie pointed out the Help to Buy scheme, which offers a form of assistance to climb the property ladder, but added, "That's targeted support. I don't think it should be targeted at age, but it's obviously targeted at income and it does seem to be slightly unfair."
Jovan highlighted the challenge of getting onto the property ladder today, and referred to his grandparents' era who bought their home for a "fraction" of current prices.
Kate then chimed in: "Yes but their salary that they had was a fraction as well," to which her co-host Rob snapped back with, "it's much harder now for this generation to get on the housing ladder."
As the debate heated up, Kate grasped her co-star Rob's arm, laughing off the moment with a terse reply to their constant back-and-forth. She said: "You don't have to debate with me, Rob," and later expressed: "We love each other!"
The mum-of-two also explained how young people feel like Britain isn't a good place to settle down and asked Jovan whether it's just about the money or if there is something more going on.

Turning back to Kate, Rob said he needed a moment to debate with his co-star once again. "I'm here," the mum-of-two declared as she raised her arms. The debate on Friday comes just a week after the two presenters were blasted for another ear-splitting debate segment.
The pair sparked a heated debate by inviting guests to tackle the hot topic of should we be waving a thankful gesture to drivers or not. With Rob staunchly pro-politeness, Kate found herself on the flip side.
Kate appeared mixed up over her stance, commenting: "If you're a pedestrian you do feel a bit in battle these days."
Her follow-up carried a hint of longing for more kindness in the streets: "If cyclists and motorists perhaps offered a little more courtesy with a thank you when they've paused or stepped back when they're crossing a road and all that kind of thing, then maybe we would have a little bit more love all around."
Rob appeared quite baffled as he remarked: "You're arguing for him," nodding towards the man next to her. Kate sharply retorted: "Oh, shut up, you're a trained barrister. I'm doing the best I can," and then she couldn't help but giggle at the situation.
