Golden Globes: Lily James, Salma Hayek and Jessica Chastain wear cult £27 lipstick
Hollywood’s A-listers were out on force last night for the first awards show of the year: the Golden Globes.
After taking a hiatus last year, the 2023 red carpet was awash with glamour, ££££ dresses and flawless complexions as teams of stylists and make-up artists worked round-the-clock to get actors photo-ready.
While in previous years you’d see a smattering of bold red lippy and dramatic smoky eyes, this year the majority of stars went for a less-is-more approach, perfecting natural beauty looks.
Case in point: Lily James offset her bold cut-out red gown Atelier Versace dress with an understated nude lip and glowing complexion.
“Lily wanted to reference Audrey Hepburn for tonight’s Golden Globes look, so we created a fresh, modern take for the red carpet,” explains her make-up artist, Nina Park, who used a slew of Charlotte Tilbury products to achieve the dewy look.
The beauty look was pulled together by one of Tilbury’s most popular products, the Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk, which is no stranger to red carpet beauty bags.
The nude-pink lipstick is formulated to flatter “everyone at every age and any skin tone”.
Having launched in February 2017, it has since become a cult favourite with Hollywood elite and women all over the world, many considering it the perfect nude shade.
In fact, it’s so popular that in 2021 one pillow talk lipstick sold every two minutes.

James wasn’t the only star to wear the affordable £27 lipstick at this year's Golden Globes.
Jessica Chastain, who was nominated for Best Actress, wore the same shade as the Pam & Tommy star.
Meanwhile, Salma Hayek, who is no stranger to wearing a Tilbury nude lip on the red carpet, wore the lipstick in a slightly darker shade.
Hayek first debuted the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium on the Golden Globes 2020 red carpet.
The ‘Medium’ Pillow Talk shade, which launched in January 2020, features a slightly warmer berry-pink tone.
“The inspiration tonight was luminosity – with a hint of rose – for the iconic Salma Hayek” said her make-up artist Mary Phillips about the actors 2023 red carpet look.
The rose hued lip perfectly complimenting Hayek’s heavily embellished soft pink Gucci gown.
