'Two future Queens!': Royal fans delighted as Camilla and Kate carry out first joint engagement
The Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge have carried out their first engagement together and royal fans are thrilled.
Despite both being key figures in the Royal Family, Camilla and Kate have never carried out a joint engagement without their husbands there too.
They are frequently together at big family gatherings – like Royal Ascot or Trooping the Colour – but a video call with children’s hospices in the UK is the first time they have worked together as a duo.
The video went down a treat with royal fans on social media, as fans were thrilled to see the two future queen consorts working together.
One said: “Absolutely love this! Two future queen consorts working together.”
One tweeted: “More joint engagements please between Charles/Camilla and William/Catherine. What an amazing fab four they are.”

Camilla became a senior royal when she married Prince Charles in 2005, and over the years has built up more and more engagements.
While Kate and Prince William married in 2011, they did not immediately jump into royal work. However the coronavirus pandemic and the forced change to engagements has seen the couple come even more to the forefront of the Royal Family.
Camilla, 72, and Kate, 38, may both be future queen consorts, but their royal work is focussed in different areas, which could be part of the reason they rarely work directly together.

Camilla has done lots of work on tackling domestic abuse and working with survivors, whereas Kate’s focus has been early years development and mental health.
But their joint patronages of children’s hospices allowed them join forces to mark Children’s Hospice Week.
The duchesses also joined the dukes in an engagement in February, when they visited military personnel in Loughborough, playing wheelchair basketball.
The women are often seen next to one another in carriages at Trooping the Colour and Royal Ascot too.
