Florence Pugh's best fashion as actor matches hair to dress at Oppenheimer premiere
Florence Pugh has pulled off yet another stellar sartorial feat.
The British actor, 27, arrived at the Oppenheimer UK premiere in London last night wearing a burnt orange gown that matched her newly-dyed buzzcut.
The dress - by Pugh's go-to designer label Valentino - featured a full skirt, train and halterneck bodice.
Tiffany & Co jewellery completed the ensemble.
The actor regularly pulls out all the stops for both glamorous red carpet events and film photo-calls, and 2022 alone had her wearing some of the most recognisable and talked-about fashion looks of the year.
A close relationship with Valentino has meant that Pugh and her stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, have often turned to the fashion house for big events over the years.
Pugh and Corbin-Murray – who is also behind the fashion-forward looks from the likes of Lily James, Gemma Chan and Simone Ashley – have since experimented with the soft lace of Rodarte and gilded glamour of Louis Vuitton.
As she continues to be one of fashions most talked-about stars, take a look back at some of Florence Pugh's most head-turning ensembles...
At the Valentino Haute Couture show in July 2023
Proving she doesn't shy away from a big fashion moment, the Don't Worry Darling star donned another nipple-revealing gown a year on from the first - perhaps as a symbol of sartorial defiance to those who criticised her last time round. Attending the Valentino Couture show in Paris yesterday evening, the actor, 27, went braless in a transparent gown made from billowing lilac tulle. A pink-hued buzz cut completed the look.
At the 2023 Met Gala
Pugh's affinity for Valentino saw her arrive at the Met Gala arm in arm with the fashion house's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. Pugh wore a voluminous white gown with a statement black bow and larger than life headpiece to the event.
Crop top for Oscar's after party
For the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar after party, Pugh wore her second Valentino look of the evening wearing sprawling pink coat over the top of high waisted black trousers and a micro crop top.
In a plunging sequin dress
Pugh slipped into a plunging sequinned number for a Fashion Awards afterparty.
The actor kept her make-up on point with a deep berry-red lip, but switched her red Valentino gown for a gilded look, complete with gold necklace, earrings and shoes.
In classic red Valentino
Pugh chose one of The Fashion Awards honourees to design her custom-made red carpet gown.
The Midsommar star presented Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli with the Designer of the Year award whilst wearing one of his desgns.
In a silk Rodarte negligée
Pink really is Pugh's colour. She stepped out in a boudoir-style slip dress and coordinating tulle cape by Rodarte for the British Independent Film Awards red carpet.
The actor paired the candy-coloured silk slip dress with Tiffany & Co. jewels and a pair of strappy Aquazzura heels.
In sheer slinky Victoria Beckham
Pugh stunned in yet another sheer number at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Governors Awards in November 2022.
The white and gold Victoria Beckham gown featured a cowl neckline and strategically placed opaque sections of fabric.
In pink Valentino at the brand's haute couture show
Pugh looked every bit the Hollywood princess in a bright pink Valentino gown complete with ruffles and sheer detailing in Rome in July 2022.
However, the ensemble – which she wore to the Valentino Haute Couture fashion show – prompted some "vulgar" comments, and the star defended the nipple-baring look on Instagram.
In Valentino at Paris Fashion Week
Undeterred by the criticism, the star wore sheer Valentino again during Paris Fashion Week in October 2022.
Accessorising her matching long-sleeved crop top and skirt, she clutched an elegant white handbag.
Purple Valentino at Venice Film Festival
In September, the actress exhibited the most perfect, stylish airport look we've seen in a while when she arrived at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2022.
She wore a coordinated crop top, shorts and skirt by Valentino, along with a handbag and heels in complementary shades of purple.
In voluminous Valentino at the Venice Film Festival
During the same trip to the Venice International Film Festival, Pugh then sparkled bright in a dramatic, black Valentino ensemble.
She posed on the red carpet, ahead of the Don't Worry Darling screening, alongside her glamorous grandmother Pat.
In chic Emilia Wickstead lace
For the opening of the Tiffany & Co. exhibition in June 2022, the star opted for a lacy, black matching top and skirt by New Zealand-born designer Emilia Wickstead.
She finished off her look with some striking Tiffany jewels, her silver nose ring and long-sleeved black gloves, giving an edgy twist to her lace look.
In layered Louis Vuitton at the Oscars
The actress picked up her first Oscar for Little Women at the 92nd Annual Academy Awards in February 2022.
For the most important occasion in the film calendar, she opted for a stunning silky, teal blue ruffled gown by Louis Vuitton.
In Carolina Herrera at the BAFTAs
Shortly afterwards, at the EE British Academy Film Awards in March 2022, the actress wowed in a long-sleeved, button-front Carolina Herrera LBD.
However, always keeping things fun, her look came complete with a bubblegum pink train.
In ruffled purple Valentino
Proving she has been an emerging style icon for a number of years, Pugh posed up a storm at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 11th Annual Governors Awards in October 2019.
She accessorised her frilly, purple Valentino dress with a pair of chunky black heels and an elegant up-do.
In sheer black Rodarte
The star's latest sheer look is a sparkly, black dress by Rodarte – which she wore to the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences in October 2022.
She accessorised with sleek blonde hair, red lipstick and a silver nose ring.
