Everything we know so far about Harlan Coben's Missing You
We've been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for Netflix's next Harlan Coben adaptation to drop, and now, Missing You has been confirmed to land on New Year's Day.
Hot off the heels of the huge success of Fool Me Once back in January, the bestselling US author has signed a five-year deal to bring more of his novels to the streaming service.
So, here's everything we know so far about what's sure to be the first big buzzy TV show of next year...
Missing You: Release date
Missing You will drop on Netflix on 1 January 2025, so that's your bank holiday telly sorted. There will be five episodes, each lasting an hour, and we'll probably watch them all in one day.
Missing You: Plot
The next Harlan Coben thriller to hit Netflix follows Kat Donovan, a detective specialising in missing people. Netflix says: 'Eleven years ago, Kat's fiance Josh, the love of her life, vanished without a trace, and she hasn’t heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh's unexpected reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.'
Sharing the news on Instagram, Coben added: 'The final twist will STUN you'. So, it's safe to say we're excited.
Missing You: Cast
Missing You is set to star Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses) in the lead role as Kat, supported by Ashley Walters (Josh), Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, Lisa Faulkner and James Nesbitt.
Once again, Harlan Coben will serve as executive producer through his own company, Final Twist productions, with the story relocated from the US to the UK (filming took place in and around Manchester and the north west), as happened with Fool Me Once.
