EastEnders fans ‘work out’ major character comeback following David Wicks return
David Wicks just made an epic comeback in EastEnders, and now, fans believe there’s another legend on their way back to Walford. In the latest episode of BBC’s EastEnders, David asked about his ex during a chat with Bianca Jackson.
After Bianca (Patsy Palmer) shared her confusion at her dad, David (Michael French), being in Walford after a decade, he revealed that he was contacted by someone else. According to David, Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen) called him after failing to get in touch with Bianca's mum Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) - and fans believe Carol is about to make a comeback.
Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) called David as Bianca’s mental health started to spiral. But when Bianca came face-to-face with her father after so long, she really wasn’t happy about it.

When Bianca asked why he was back, David explained he returned to Albert Square after failing to get in touch with Carol. But viewers have been quick to call out an apparent mistake with Bianca making contact with her mum just last week.
However, some believe it means the frequent mentioning of Carol will also return to the show. Taking to social media, one fan posted: "Carol isn’t replying?? Huh? Bianca was only on the phone to her last week." Another said: "I still feel like something is brewing there."

A third fan posted: "So many Carol Jackson mentions it’s foreshadowing trust (I’m overthinking it)." A fourth wrote: "That excuse about Carol not answering the phone doesn’t ring true to me seeing as Bianca literally called her last week." A further comment said: "Why has Carol gone from speaking on the phone to Bianca to not answering any calls in the space of a few days?".
One of Michael’s biggest storylines as David was when his former fling Carol returned to the square with her daughter Bianca. David had found himself starting to like Bianca, only to later find out that he was actually her father. David left Walford in 2014 when his relationship with Carol broke down following their failed wedding.
Speaking about his latest return, Michael said: "I feel honoured to be asked to reprise the role of David Wicks once again. It may only be a brief visit, but we know from his past that David never fails to create a lot of drama in a very short time.”
