Very little of the Royal Family’s private life is seen in public. But ever so often, the public gets a rare glimpse into the relationships between the famous couples. And one fan got a front row seat, when the Duchess of Cambridge shared a sweet tribute to Prince William earlier this month.
On the public stage, PDA for the Royal Family is kept to an absolute minimum, especially for senior working royals such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; so much so that a video of the royal couple holding hands on the royal tour of the Caribbean sent the internet into a frenzy.
But every once in a little while, touching moments between the parents-of-three resurface, and give the public rare insight into what their relationship must be like.

A royal fan has captured one such sweet moment from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's visit to Cardiff over the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend.
The unseen video, shared to Twitter by user 'Fifi Love the Cambridges', was captured on 4 June when the couple visited Cardiff with Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, seven, as part of the celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend

In the short clip, a royal fan told Kate, 40, that she will make “a brilliant Princess of Wales” as the duchess shook hands with the hundreds of people who came out to see the Cambridges at Cardiff castle.

The fan was of course referring to Kate’s future title when her husband Prince William becomes first in line to the throne, upon Prince Charles accession to the throne.
In response to the flattering comment, the Duchess of Cambridge told the royal fan it was “very kind” before she took a subtle nod to her husband Prince William and modestly said, “I’m in good hands”.
The sweet comment reflects the duchess’ trust in William as the couple has taken on more and more senior royal duties as the Queen has stepped back from public appearances.

The Princess of Wales title is a bittersweet one for the future Duchess of Cambridge, as it was the same title given to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana when she married Prince Charles in 1981.
Upon their divorce in 1995, the title was technically removed, and when Prince Charles married Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, the title was not passed on to his second wife, out of respect for the late-Lady Diana Spencer, who passed away in 1997.
