Death In Paradise star shares first look at new series as big return confirmed
Death In Paradise star Élizabeth Bourgine has given fans a first look at the new series.
Elizabeth shared a photo from behind the scenes of the BBC detective drama as she wrapped filming on the new series. Ralf Little has departed his role as DI Neville Parker, with EastEnders star Don Gilet joining as the new DI.
Elizabeth plays Catherine Bordey in the BBC show and has shared a new snap of filming, revealing that Don Warrington will be returning in his role as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson as he is also seen in the behind the scene snap.
Alongside the photo, posted on Instagram, Elizabeth confirmed she had finished filming for the upcoming 14th series, which is expected to air early next year. She wrote: "Series 14 done #deathinparadise #guadeloupe #behindthescenes #shooting."

Elizabeth - who has played Catherine since the first series - revealed what fans contact her most about in regards to her character.
She told Virgin Radio: "The thing that people, the fans, always say to me and ask me is about Catherine’s style. The way she's dressed, the way she puts on jewellery, the way she puts bandeaus in her head. A lot of them try to do things in their lives and then send me the pictures and say, ‘What do you think about that? How can I do this? Where do you buy your things?'
"They really want to grow old but continue having fun with their style. The dresses, the jewellery. Be sexy, funny and just feel pretty and feel good. Catherine is very important for that. For young girls, and elderly women too. So it's very nice, it’s very fun."
Fans are hopeful that Catherine might soon get her own love story, after being unlucky in love in past series.
"Catherine's a lovely woman. She's the mayor, she's loving everybody, but she doesn't have a real love story. So [the fans] always ask me, and I do too because I think Catherine should be dating and have a love story. She has to choose somebody, not for life, not for a wedding, just for fun and for love. So, they have suggested it, and I do suggest it too," she said.
When Death In Paradise returns, Don Gilet will play DI Mervin Wilson. Viewers are yet to find out how he makes it out to the island, but BBC bosses have promised a great series ahead for fans of the detective series.
