Penélope Cruz joins latex revolution in label worn by Amanda Holden, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga
Penélope Cruz has become the latest celebrity to join the latex trend, wearing a black 'body' by Atsuko Kudo on the cover of Vogue España.
The actor and producer, 48, is partially covered with a Chanel jacket and sports a Kim Kardashian inspired plaited high ponytail.
Another of Cruz's looks for the shoot includes a lace and taffeta flared jacket by Harris Reed, a latex corset also by Atsuko Kudo, cycling leggings from Nike, and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Atsuko Kudo is also a major hit with other stars across the world, including Kim Kardashian who wore a latex top and skirt from the Japanese designer in 2014 to promote her new fragrance Fleur Fatale at an event in Melbourne, Australia.
Lady Gaga donned a red latex gown by Kudo to meet the Queen in England in 2009. "I wanted to dress like a queen in a British fashion, and I also wanted to do it my own way," she told British Vogue last year.
"But we thought we would give this look of a queen a modern twist by making it latex and at the time Atsuko Kudo were the only designers that I could think of that were actually tailoring latex in this way," she added. "It's very difficult to tailor latex."
Amanda Holden also wore a black latex catsuit-style piece and Linde Pencil Dress with a flattering Mid V neck from the designer for a Fabulous Magazine feature in April 2016. Meanwhile, she previously rocked the look wearing a hot pink rubber dress for Britain's Got Talent auditions in January, which on this occasion was a bespoke piece by William Wilde.
In the Vogue España accompanying interview, Cruz discusses her career, expressing enthusiasm about her role as a producer with her company Moonlyon. "I've had offers from other places to start a production company, but what could be better than doing it in my own country. I will choose well, from the heart, and when I feel that they are stories that need to be told," she said.
After thirty years in the industry, and creating her own company, we will next see her dedication in the film En los márgenes, directed by her friend Juan Diego Botto, and produced by her.
Cruz also discusses how she is constantly picking up new things in her career, but nothing will compare to becoming a mother.
"You never feel in the profession that you've got to where you had to be, that you've learned everything you had to learn, and that makes me happy," she explained. "You are a student, an apprentice, and everything else is left behind."

Cruz shares Leo Encinas Cruz, 11, and Luna Encinas Cruz, nine, with fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem, who she married in 2010.
"I'm not the same age as when I started and I have two children," she added. "The most radical change I have experienced has been becoming a mother. Your life alters enormously at that moment, much more than with any kind of project. Motherhood is a priority in my life."

Cruz has graced many covers over the years, and picked up many awards along the way, including an Oscar, a BAFTA, Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival, a Donostia Award and a National Film Award for cinematography, but has stayed humble along the way.
While she has achieved all her success independently, she has also starred alongside Bardem in multiple films, first meeting on the set of Spanish comedy-drama Jamón Jamón in 1992.
“It makes me a little dizzy to see everything that has happened since I started, but the feeling of time is very relative," she told Vogue España. "On the one hand I feel like it was a long time ago and on the other it seems like it was yesterday."
