Carol Vorderman dresses the part in low-cut aviator look at 'Top Gun' London premiere
It wasn't just members of the Royal Family who secured an invite to this evening's Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London.
TV presenter Carol Vorderman, 61, was among the British celebrities who attended the event, hosted by The Film and TV Charity.
An avid pilot herself, the TV personality and maths guru dressed the part in an aviation jumpsuit, similar to those worn by the pilot in the high-octane sequel to the 1986 action film.
Dressed in a khaki-coloured jumpsuit, the maths wizz highlighted her toned physique with a large black belt that cinched her in at the waist. Vorderman didn't leave anything to chance with her on-brand look for the evening, accessorising with a pair of aviator sunglasses, chicly hung from the button-down fastening.
Her golden locks had been curled for the event and she opted for a strong eyeliner look for the star-studded event in Leicester Square.
Vorderman revealed she would be attending the event a day earlier, sharing a photo of herself with the film's star - Tom Cruise - on her Instagram account.
"Maverick and Math-erick," she captioned the image, referencing her Countdown years.
She explained the photo was taken a "fair few years ago" when she and Cruise were racing cars at Goodwood Racecourse in Chichester.
Her aviator jumpsuit even featured a name badge sewn on with the 'Matherick' moniker for the Top Gun sequel's London premiere.

A second Instagram post, shared earlier today, delved into Vorderman's love of flying. Sharing an image of herself in a flying suit - a homage to her passion for aviation, she explained - the TV presenter reemphasised her love of aviation.
"You know the only thing I ever wanted to be growing up and probably since is a fighter pilot. I was born 20 years too early, they didn't take women pilots in the military in my day. But I got my licences in my 50s which closed a happy circle.
"So tonight isn't just a red carpet or a movie for me. It's much more meaningful, I guess."

Vorderman's no stranger to rubbing shoulders with royals. As an ambassador of both the Prince's Trust and the Air Cadets, Vorderman's been involved in a number of engagements and anniversaries attended or marked by the Royal Family.
One such occasion was in 2016 when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford with son George, then almost four, in tow.
In 2013, Vorderman attended a reception for the Prince's Trust Job Ambassadors at Prince Charles' London residence, Clarence House, to mark the appointment of one hundred Job Ambassadors.
