If you love knitting and crocheting, then listen up – there's a brand new craft TV show you need to apply for.
The Game of Wool (working title) is the exciting new knitting show coming to More4 very soon. It will see knitting and crochet lovers battle it out through a series of yarn-based challenges to be crowned the knitting champion.
We've got all the details and everything you need to know here – including how the competition works and who will be judging it.
And if you're a talented knitter and crocheter, there's still time to apply to be part of the show. We've got all the details on the application process below.
How to apply for The Game of Wool
To apply to be on the TV show, which will be filmed in Scotland next year, you must fill out an online application form – which you can find here. The producers advise you to give yourself plenty of time to fill out the form, as it's quite a lengthy process.
The producers want to hear as much as possible about your love for the craft. They want you to tell them on the application form about your creations, how you made them and why you love them. Don't worry if you don't feel confident writing about it in great detail – they'd love for you to illustrate with photos and videos, too.
The competition requires knowledge of both crochet and knitting, so make sure you send the producers examples of both types of work.
You have until midnight on Sunday 5 January 2025 to apply. If you have been successful, you will receive a phone call from one of the producers by 13 January 2025.
Good luck!
