The heartbroken girlfriend of British daredevil influencer who plunged to his death from Spain's highest bridge has revealed the last words he said to her. Savannah Parker spoke with tragic Lewis Stevenson hours before he attempted to climb the 630ft Castilla La Mancha bridge, when he told her: "Good night, I love you."

Lewis, 26, reportedly ignored warnings from his family not to scale the towering 630ft-tall Castilla La Mancha in Talavera de la Reina, but he took on the challenge anyway. He was trying to capture a snap for his social media when he tragically fell to his death on Sunday. His Instagram page is filled with shots of him posing on top of tall buildings and huge structures worldwide, including in New York City, as the young man allegedly "did what he did for his own pleasure".

But now, Lewis's family is left devastated. His girlfriend Savannah expressed her sorrow over the tragic incident on social media, describing her boyfriend's death as "a nightmare". Lewis's grandfather Clifford Stevenson, 70, revealed: "We all tried to talk him out of it. We were always trying to talk him out of doing things but that was the way he was. He loved doing it, always went out there believing he'd be alright. He did what he did for his own pleasure. He did not get any money for it, he was an adventurer."

Lewis had amassed followers on social media with his thrilling stunts. Many have expressed their grief at his passing, reports the Mirror. One close pal posted on Instagram: "Knowing you has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. And losing you is the greatest sadness of my life. No amount of words on a stupid Instagram post will ever describe how much I miss you.

"You will always be the bravest, most caring and funny person I've ever known. I'm proud of every building, every rooftop, every moment of our time together. My best friend, my brother. Rest easy, we'll meet again one day."

Another friend shared a snap of Lewis sitting on top of a New York City high-rise alongside heartfelt words: "In the past seven years you introduced me to a new understanding of freedom, which changed my perspective on life massively, giving me guidance on my own creative work always motivating me and inspiring me through your own creative consistency. I'm forever thankful for the opportunities you gave me and the people you introduced me to."

Savannah paid tribute to her boyfriend on social media, writing: "It's 5am and I haven't eaten or slept. Someone tell me this is a nightmare. I feel violently sick at the fact you're not coming back. Please come back. Answer the phone." The daredevil craze of scaling structures without safety gear, boosted by the rise of social platforms, was a passion of Lewis, who exhibited his global 'rooftoping' feats on Instagram under the handle expedition. Mail Online reports that Lewis' dizzying snaps showcased his daring stunts atop a New York City skyscraper and casually perched on a metal girder above London's hustle and bustle.

Stevenson's account also featured jaw-dropping images of him dangling from an edifice in Croatia and surveying Mexico City from a hotel rooftop. However, the tourist was tragically found dead beneath a bridge in Spain on Sunday. It's not clear how high up Lewis had climbed when he lost his footing, but the bridge's highest point is a daunting 630ft. Authorities say they continue to investigate the tragedy.
