The Big Brother house was evacuated with all the housemates inside after a fire alarm went off, caught on life stream. Warning signs were activated on Monday night’s live stream, and the broadcast was cut to a bird song while the incident was resolved.

However, the PA news agency understands that there was no fire in the house, with no cause of concern during the incident. An ITV spokesperson said: “The housemates were evacuated from the Big Brother house for a brief period yesterday after a fire alarm was activated. The safety and security of our cast and crew is always of the utmost importance.”

It’s not the only drama going off in the house lately with one of its 2024 housemates demanding to leave after a tense week on the ITV1 show. Host AJ Odudu has revealed that contestant Ali told her fellow housemates that she was leaving the show after clashing with Khalid.

On Sunday night, it was revealed that Ali called Khalid "false" during a heated argument and after Ali was put up for eviction in Monday night's house, Big Brother: Late and Live announced that she had wanted to leave in an exclusive clip.

"I take responsibility for the insult, it wasn't as funny as I thought it was," she said, before telling him: "I am leaving. I'm sorry things have snowballed. I'm not staying. Not a chance."

"I'm going, I don't want to be here anymore. Don't tell the others but I don't want to be here anymore so I'm done,” Ali was then heard telling fellow housemates Lily and Daze in the bedroom. However, AJ made the announcement that for now, Ali was still a housemate, however that could all be set to change during this week’s eviction.

On Monday night’s show it was revealed that Ali would be facing the public vote, alongside Daze, Lily and Martha. However, Martha’s nomination wasn’t down to the housemates votes, but down to Head of House Khaled who had the chance to to either 'Save and Replace' one of his housemates or deliver a 'Killer Nomination'. He ultimately decided that Martha should also be up for eviction, as she now faces the public vote.

Whoever is next to leave will be the second housemate to be evicted from the second season of the ITV2 series, as Friday night saw Ryan become the first housemate to be given the boot less than a week after entering the house.
