Calling all runners: Amazon's October Prime Day sale is well underway, and if there's one thing you need to add to your basket, it's your favourite long run fuel. That's right, I'm talking energy gels and electrolytes.

As a 12x marathon runner, I know how important it is to fuel your training and racing correctly. The problem is, the best sports nutrition supplements don't come cheap, which is why Amazon's Prime Big Deals Day sale is the golden opportunity to stock up in bulk while prices are low.

Mid-run nutrition

Delivering 23g of carbs per gel, and made from real fruit juice, these High5 gels do the job on long runs. They are also free from artificial sweeteners and additives. These will keep you going through marathon training without breaking the bank.

Same as above, but with 30mg caffeine for those who need an extra boost.

Packing a whopping 40g of carbs to power you on, our testers found these gels slipped down easily and reported a welcome stamina boost. It has a 1:0.8 blend of maltodextrin to fructose to protect against digestive disasters and enable speedy absorption.
