BBC Strictly host Tess Daly sends three-word message to Wynne Evans after he's eliminated from show
Wynne Evans became the latest celebrity to be eliminated on Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday (17 November), with the opera star being voted off alongside pro dancer Katya Jones.
The pair wound up in the bottom two with Gladiators star Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, following another public vote.
The judges delivered their verdict and ultimately decided to keep Montell and Johannes in the competition, meaning Wynne and Katya's Strictly journey had sadly come to an end. After the results show aired on BBC One, Wynne took to his Instagram account to issue a message to Strictly fans, with host Tess Daly rushing to support him.
Wynne began by writing: "Thank you so much to everyone that has tuned in and supported me over the past 9 weeks. This has been a fantastic experience and I couldn’t have done any of it without @katyajones."

"Big thanks to @bbcstrictly for making me feel so welcome and a special shout out to my family for filling the fridge every week!! Good luck to everyone still in the competition, I’ll be cheering you on from my sofa next Saturday! #strictly," he added.
Tess, who hosts the BBC One dance show with Claudia Winkleman, responded: "You'll be missed!" alongside two red heart emojis.
She wasn't the only Strictly star who flocked to support Wynne on social media in the wake of his elimination. EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick simply wrote: "Love you," while Tasha Ghouri said: "Going to miss you had the best laughs and chats with you, should be so proud of yourself."
Strictly's head judge Shirley Ballas also had a sweet message for Wynne, adding: "You will be missed such a gentleman, we have all enjoyed having you on the show."
Elsewhere, fellow opera star Katherine Jenkins commented: "You were brilliant Wynne, always so entertaining and energetic. Loved you performances - you did Wales proud!" and Love Island's Liam Reardon said: "Well done Wynne mate".
Wynne also shared a video message to viewers, in which he opened up about his Strictly journey and partnership with Katya. He said in the clip: "Hi there, Wynne here. Spoiler alert if you've been watching Strictly's results show then you know my time on Strictly came to an end.
"It's been brilliant. I never dreamt I'd get to Blackpool and thanks to Katya for obviously being such a superb partner during the process and choreographer, pushing me to my absolute limits and sometimes beyond my limits... It's been utterly brilliant and she has been fantastic. I've got to say thank you to my family, my friends and my partner for making sure there's food in the fridge, for being really supportive when I've been away for weeks on end."
He added: "I've also got to say Strictly, Strictly is a beautiful thing, something that' we've got to look after so that we can continue to enjoy it with our families for years to come. But thank you to you and for supporting me as I raise a glass to you and I raise a glass to my friends who are still in Strictly who will be dancing next Saturday night. I'll be watching from the sofa and I say good health. Cheers. Have a brilliant time. But thank you, for now. I won't be hiding for long, that's for sure."
