Barry Keoghan seen on Peaky Blinders movie set for first time with co-stars including Sophie Rundle
Saltburn star Barry Keoghan will star in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie - and now, the actor has been pictured for the first time on the set of the much anticipated new film. Barry, 32, was spotted filming the feature-length movie adaptation of the hit BBC period drama, which is being made for Netflix, with the Irish actor joining its star Cillian Murphy to play a mystery new role, alongside the Shelbys.
The movie star was pictured filming in Yorkshire, with actress Sophie Rundle, who will reprise her role as Ada Shelby from the award-winning series, and Tim Roth, who is new to the Peaky Blinders.
Barry could be seen sporting a typical flat cap, grey suit, neckerchief and overcoat for the movie, while Sophie, 36, was seen dressed in a red coat, skirt and matching hat in character.
The movie spinoff was confirmed earlier in the year, with its star, actor Cillian Murphy, sharing the news with an emotional statement. At the time, Netflix confirmed on its official X account that the film was in the works, with a photo of the script, writing: “The streaming giant captioned the exciting snap: "BIG NEWS: A Peaky Blinders film is coming to Netflix!" Followed by: "A few words from Cillian Murphy: 'It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me... It is very gratifying to be collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans'".
Oscar winner Cillian, 48, will return to the franchise in his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, with BAFTA-winning Barry Keoghan, who was also named in The Irish Times list of Ireland's greatest film actors, will join the cast for the first time.
Alongside Cillian and Sophie, cast from the TV series who will reprise their roles for the film include Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg, Ian Peck as Charlie's assistant Curly, Ned Dennehy as the Shelbys' family friend Charlie Strong, and Packy Lee as Tommy's cousin, Johnny Dogs.

It’s also been confirmed that Dune star Rebecca Ferguson will also join the cast of the movie, though details about her new character are being kept tightly under wraps.
While we don’t know the plot of the movie yet, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has told Deadline that it will be set during World War II. It’s not been announced yet when the movie will come to Netflix.
Away from the movie set, hit actor Barry made headlines for famously dating pop star Sabrina Carpenter, 25, though the couple split earlier this year, despite Barry previously appearing during the Espresso singer’s set at Coachella and in her music video for Please Please Please.
