Good Housekeeping reveals the best shop to buy Christmas food
It's official – the Good Housekeeping Institute has chosen Aldi as their top supermarket for festive shopping this Christmas.
The GHI's expert testers sampled over 730 festive products and found that Aldi's Christmas range came out top of the shops.
The budget supermarket beat Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons, Asda, M&S and Sainsbury's as the best place to buy Christmas essentials.
It's the second year in the row that Aldi has been awarded this accolade.
The Christmas range will be available in stores and for click and collect from early December and includes everything, from mince pies to panettone and fancy festive starters.
Our pick of stand-out buys include a pack of adorable reindeer and present-shaped bao, an indulgent giant chocolate coin (filled with salted caramel sauce and blonde chocolate mousse) and a luxury cheese tower made with chunky truckles of mature cheddar, red Leicester and Wensleydale.
No festive food shop would be complete without a special tipple or two, and Aldi has plenty of those to choose from in their 2024 range, too. The Christmas pudding-flavoured mulled wine and spiced apple buck's fizz will be going straight into our trolley, thank you.
