Westlife star fires warning at Wrexham's Ryan Reynolds after buying into part-time club
A '90s boy band star has warned Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds to “watch out” after buying into a part-time club.
Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden acquired a stake in National League North outfit Chorley FC last year along with Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy from Boyzone.
The club formed in 1883 has since spent £250,000 on a new pitch, as well as improving the safety of the ageing terraces at its home of Victory Park and installing a new hospitality suite.

McFadden has now revealed how the trio are hoping to replicate the success achieved by Reynolds and fellow Red Dragons owner Rob McElhenney, with a potential documentary in the offing.
Chorley are currently six tiers below the Premier League, but the Irishman is hopeful of taking them all the way to the top flight of English football.
The 44-year-old also fired a cheeky shot at the Deadpool star as he talked up his club’s chances.
McFadden told The Sun: “We have aspirations, just like Wrexham and Ryan Reynolds.
“I wake up some nights thinking, ‘We’re going to win the Premier League in the next 30 years’.
“You have to dream big, and we’ve got to aim for the top. Teams like Salford and Wrexham, who have well-known owners, make us think, ‘Why not us?’”
He jokingly added: “Gary Neville and Ryan Reynolds may need to watch out!”
The singers are the latest in a long line of celebrities aiming to emulate Reynolds and McElhenney’s triumph at Wrexham, which has seen the club achieve back-to-back promotions to League One.
Rapper Snoop Dogg recently revealed he wants to invest in Scottish Premiership side Celtic after being inspired by the pair’s journey.
The 53-year-old said: “I love what Ryan has done with Wrexham. It's just a great story.
“Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time. If the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.”
A$AP Rocky, the boyfriend of superstar singer Rihanna, is reportedly interested in purchasing League Two side Tranmere Rovers.
Meanwhile, Wrexham's owners have welcomed new investors into the fold after the Allyn family from New York acquired a minority stake in the club last week.
The news was announced on the same day as Reynolds and McElhenney bought a majority share in the city's Wrexham Lager brewery.
