Wales invite promising duo in to train as Warren Gatland takes closer look
Uncapped Scarlets centre Macs Page and Dragons full-back Huw Anderson have been called into camp to train with Wales.
Both players are not official squad members, but are training with the group as part of their development. Page is one of the most naturally gifted players in Welsh rugby and has made a big impact for the Scarlets in the opening block of the United Rugby Championship season.
The 19-year-old has explosive power, top-end pace and mesmerising footwork. Page has scored two stunning individual tries so far this season against Benetton and Zebre respectively and is seen by many as an international star of the future. Dragons full-back Anderson has been playing his rugby for Pontypool in the new Super Rygbi Cymru competition but is a player with huge potential.

The 20-year-old was a top performer for Wales Under-20s last season with his attacking prowess catching the eye, while he is also solid defensively. Both Page and Anderson trained with the senior Wales squad on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
They are expected to be involved sporadically over the next couple of weeks. But this is nothing new, with Gatland having called promising young players to train with the senior squad in the past for them to get a flavour of what it takes to become an international.
There is now a greater alignment between the seniors and the pathway than there has ever been with Rob Howley working closely with Wales U20s head coach Richard Whiffin. Gatland and his coaching team have also been holding skills clinics at the Welsh Rugby Union's National Centre of Excellence.
During these clinics up to 70 academy players from Wales' four professional clubs - Cardiff, Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets - along with RGC are put through their paces by Gatland and his assistants. The sessions focuses on core skills and units work, including scrum and lineout technique.
