ESPNFC report that Courtois has now informed Sarri that he wishes to leave, amid interest from Real Madrid. The article claims that Real have had a number of bids for the Belgian goalkeeper rejected already.

Courtois has been linked with a return to both Madrid clubs after his children moved back to the Spanish capital, and he wants to join them in the city.

Chelsea reportedly surprised Sarri when they signed Rob Green on a free transfer as a back-up ‘keeper, but are expected to find a senior player to start ahead of Willy Caballero if Courtois does depart.

Sarri has been linked with moves for Jack Butland, Kasper Schmeichel and Joe Hart as potential replacements for Courtois.
