Ruben Amorim's 'attitude' slammed as Sporting boss issued 'reaction' warning amid Man United move
Ruben Amorim's 'attitude' has been slammed and his 'dedication' towards Sporting Lisbon has been ridiculed, amid talk of him becoming Manchester United's next manager.
After Erik ten Hag was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford on Monday, the Sporting manager was quickly made favourite to replace him in the United dugout.
Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that Amorim had agreed to become United's new manager, with the two clubs in dialogue over agreeing a compensation package for the 39-year-old.

However, in his post-match press conference on Tuesday, Amorim said nothing had been decided over his future ahead of a weekend where both United and Sporting are in action.
Nonetheless, his handling of the situation has been blasted by Jaime Marta Soares, the former chairman of Sporting's General Assembly, who believes there will be a 'reaction' from the club's supporters.
"[Ruben Amorim's] attitude and personality seemed like one thing, but that fell apart from one moment to the next. His love, passion, and dedication to Sporting were just fantasy situations," Soares told Radio Renascenca.
"He was the one who created an environment with an entire Sporting fanatic nation around him, who adored and respected him. He shouldn't have spat in the plate that gave him his soup.
"I'm a fan of Ruben Amorim, but there are things that shouldn't be allowed. It was at Sporting that he made his name.
"If he hadn't let himself get caught up in the dream of making millions, and since he was adored by Sporting fans, he should have thought about leaving through the big door and not this way. Sporting fans will certainly react."
Ruud van Nistelrooy has been placed in interim charge of United and will lead the side in this evening's Carabao Cup fourth round clash at home to Leicester City.
