West Ham Fan View: Pinpointing when Slaven Bilic's side will secure safety

Five fixtures left for West Ham United this season. Five games which could have a big impact on our future. If we win all five, does Slaven Bilic keep his job? Or will we carry on our poor form and face relegation? Here is my preview of our upcoming games…

Everton (H)

Playing against Romelu Lukaku has rarely ended well for West Ham. Lukaku has played against us 11 times, scoring 9 goals and given his form this season, it looks like he won’t stop. He has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League, scoring 24 goals and stopping him will help stop Everton.

They have been in good form having won six out of their last ten Premier League games and we need to be at our best against them. They beat us 2-0 when we faced them in October and I cannot see us gaining three points from this game given Everton’s quality in attack against our defence.

My prediction? 0-2.

Stoke City (A)

From our remaining games, this one is probably the easiest. Yes, travelling to Stoke is tough but they have lost four of their last five games and they have nothing left to fight for this season. There’s no doubt that their forwards are amazing with Stoke having the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic though this is only when they are on form, which has been rare this season. We can secure three points in this game and secure our place in the Premier League next season.

My prediction? 1-2.

Tottenham Hotspur (H)

It couldn’t happen, could it? We may already be safe by this point though we need our players to be at their best for our last London derby of the season. Last season, we harmed their title bid after beating them 1-0 at Upton Park in March with a goal from Michail Antonio. It’s hard for me to say this but Tottenham look unstoppable right now.

From defence to attack they are well-drilled and they have won eight of their last ten Premier League games. With Harry Kane back from injury, Dele Alli scoring goals for fun and Son Heung-min in his best form of his Tottenham career, it is going to be a tough day.

My prediction? 0-3.

Liverpool (H)

Had this game been at the start of the year, I would have said that we had a good chance regardless of our form. Liverpool do not enjoy playing the teams outside of the top six though in recent weeks, they have found a way to beat these ‘smaller’ teams. We did draw 2-2 against them in December but they have regained their form in recent weeks despite Sadio Mane being out for the rest of the season.

My prediction? 1-3.

Burnley (A)

Our last game of the 2016/17 Premier League season is at Turf Moor and whilst Burnley do have one of the best home records in the Premier League, this is the perfect opportunity for us to end the season on a high note. We beat them 1-0 when we faced them in December and Burnley have been struggling with only one win in their last ten.

My prediction? 0-2.
