Mike Tyson's trainer had to intervene during a sparring session to prepare for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul despite the fighter's desire to continue.

Tyson, 58, is training to return to the boxing ring on November 15th. After resting to recover from an ulcer flare-up that postponed their fight from its initial date this summer, the former world heavyweight champion is back in the gym.

He has seemingly stepped up his sparring recently, sharing his progress on social media. Until this week, videos uploaded on his Instagram account consisted of pad work with his trainer, Rafael Cordeiro, and hitting the heavy bag.

However, that has changed recently, with the first footage of him in a ring against an opponent emerging this week. Accompanying the first montage that his account shared on Tuesday was the following caption: "Oh, I can't wait for November 15th. I'm charging right through you."

Now, in another clip published on Wednesday, the sparring sessions continue. The footage also shows Cordeiro approaching Tyson in the corner and saying: "[That] was good for today."

His fighter repeatedly asks whether he is sure about that as he steps through the ropes and undo Tyson's head guard, who acknowledges, "I got a lot in me" before remarking: "I'm just getting started."

Fight fans have commented on the footage. One user on Instagram said, "Big man means business. I hope he [teaches] Paul a lesson of running his mouth against proper legends of the sport!"

Another claimed, "Paul will feel Pain," and someone else asserted, "He's looking scary, boys." Echoing the sentiment shared in response to the post, one user said: "Jake will lose."
