Harry Kane is currently preparing for the biggest game of his career, but that has not stopped him taking time out of his day to make one young fan’s week.

The England skipper has netted six goals already at the World Cup and will be looking to add to that tally when the Three Lions play Sweden in the quarter-final tomorrow.

If they manage to win that, Kane and England will be two games from glory and the Spurs striker will be dreaming of becoming only the second Englishman ever to lift the trophy as captain.

One fan who has lifted a World Cup of his own already is youngster Ben, who has just undergone radiotherapy treatment for cancer.

Twitter user @LiamHerbert_ shared a video of Ben receiving a World Cup from the staff at his hospital after the treatment, having been unable to walk or talk just one week earlier.

Prior to the treatment he had asked for the World Cup and Liam Herbert Tweeted the emotional video alongside a message asking Kane if he could do the same.

Thanks to the power of social media, the Tweet came to Kane’s attention and England’s star striker was quick to send his best wishes to Ben and called him an ‘inspiration’.

“Hi Ben, I’ve seen your video and you are an inspiration,” Kane said.
