Crystal Palace consider £25m Chelsea outcast and Oliver Glasner favourite amid Marc Guehi interest

Crystal Palace are interested in Trevoh Chalobah and Maxence Lacroix as they weigh up their defensive options.

The Eagles are tracking a number of centre-back targets as they prepare for the possible exit of Marc Guehi.

Newcastle are targeting a £60million move for Guehi, who returned to Palace training yesterday after having time off following Euro 2024.

Chalobah was left out of the Chelsea squad for their pre-season tour of the USA and is expected to be sold. Chelsea value him at around £25m.

Chalobah impressed when starting for Chelsea in 10 of their final 12 matches last season but the 25-year-old is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.

Palace are also keen on Wolfsburg centre-back Lacroix, who played under Eagles boss Oliver Glasner when he managed the German club. Lacroix has a year left on his current contract.

Palace have already signed Barcelona centre-back Chadi Riad this summer for up to £14m.

Sheffield United are closing on a deal to sign Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan. Leeds, Burnley, Hull and QPR are all set to miss out on Rak-Sakyi, with the Blades paying more than £1m in loan fees.
