Champions League table after Liverpool continues 100 percent start with RB Leipzig win
Liverpool continued its excellent start to life under Arne Slot with victory over RB Leipzig. Darwin Nunez scored the only goal of the game with Slot's side now having won all three Champions League matches so far.
The Reds had started their campaign with a 3-1 victory over AC Milan and followed that up by putting Bologna to the sword at Anfield last time out. Slot's men have their two toughest games to come next month but are in a great position to go through in the top eight.
The revamped Champions League sees all 36 teams in one league table, with each playing eight games to determine who reaches the knockout stages. The top eight sides will automatically qualify for the last 16, with those finishing between 8th-24th fighting out in a play-off match to join them.

It has been an excellent start for the four Premier League sides with Aston Villa having won all three of their matches. Unai Emery's men secured a memorable win over Bayern Munich earlier in the campaign and then saw off Bologna on Tuesday night.
Manchester City has seven points from its first three games after thrashing Sparta Prague while Arsenal is also unbeaten after three matches after its win over Shakhtar Donetsk at the Emirates, having drawn against Atalanta in the first round of fixtures.
Next up for Liverpool is a reunion with former midfielder Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen on November 5. The Spaniard was heavily linked with a return to Anfield in the summer as Jurgen Klopp's replacement, but opted to remain in Germany.
That is followed by a home clash with Real Madrid, who twice beat Liverpool in Champions League finals under Jurgen Klopp's tenure. The holders of the competition looked to be heading for a defeat on Tuesday night against Borussia Dortmund, who it beat at Wembley in May.
Dortmund led 2-0 at the Bernabeu at the interval but Real delivered an incredible second-half performance to win 5-2, with Vinicius Jr leading the way.
