Wondering what to watch this weekend? Well for those looking for their next movie night binge there is plenty of new content to get stuck into thanks to streamers.
Netflix, Sky Cinema, Paramount+, NOW and Prime Video have all released new films onto their respective platforms, from big budget blockbusters, to gripped post-apocalypse dramas, to new festive treats, there will be something for everyone.
Outside of these films, there are several Christmas specials being released including DC animated film Merry Little Batman on Prime Video and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever on Disney+. So, without further ado, here is Yahoo's guides to the best movies new to streaming.
Leave the World Behind | Netflix (pick of the week)
Starring Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali, Myha'la Herrold, and Kevin Bacon, a Netflix movie doesn't get bigger than this. Directed by Sam Esmail, the post-apocalypse drama follows a family as they head on a short vacation away from New York City only for the world to start collapsing around them after two strangers arrive on their door.

An intense and thrilling narrative in which the audience is in the dark as much as the characters, the film will keep viewers on their toes and go to some unpredictable places.
May December | Sky Cinema and NOW
Todd Haynes examines the notion of true crime in Hollywood in his latest psychological thriller, which stars Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman as a sex offender and the actor tasked with playing her in a new movie, respectively.

Exploring the human psyche and the lengths people may go to understand the truth, the film has been generating early awards buzz after actor Charles Melton has started winning Best Supporting Actor awards, meaning he is now heavily tipped to win the Oscar.
Your Christmas or Mine 2 | Prime Video
Looking for a fun, festive treat? Well look no further than Your Christmas or Mine 2, a sweet rom-com about James (Asa Butterfield) and Hayley (Cora Kirk) as they and their families accidentally switch hotels during a skiing trip in Austria and hilarity ensues.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts | Paramount+, Sky Cinema and NOW
The Transformers franchise is still going strong, and this week sees the latest film land on streaming. Rise of the Beast sees the Autobots team up with new team the Maximals in order to save Earth from a new threat, and it acts as a prequel to the original film.
The best films to watch on TV this weekend
Not everyone is looking for something on a streaming service, though, and the good news is there is plenty of films to enjoy on terrestrial TV on both Saturday and Sunday.
While there are an array of Christmas films to choose from on streaming, this weekend on TV there will be a few non-festive hits to enjoy. On Saturday, for example, the third film in the John Wick franchise — subtitled Parabellum — is being shown on Channel 4, whilst ITV1 will screen family film How to Train Your Dragon 2.
On Sunday, Aardman classic Chicken Run is being shown on BBC One ahead of the release of its sequel Dawn of the Nugget on Netflix. Elsewhere, the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen is being shown on BBC Two on Sunday.
