Who will win at the 2024 Oscars?
From Best Picture to Best Actor, we look at who has been nominated at the Oscars
The much-hyped Oscars race is entering the final stretch ahead of the awards ceremony on Sunday, 10 March.
Several films have already proven themselves to be the frontrunners of awards season such as Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese.
The Oscars nominations were announced on 23 January, and the Baftas took place in February, so film fans have a better understanding of which movies are the frontrunners.

Here is everything you need to know about the films and actors which could take home Academy Awards.
Which film will win Best Picture?
The Oscars have revealed the shortlist for the Best Picture category, with 10 films vying for the award.
The major frontrunner is Oppenheimer, the historical biopic about J. Robert Oppenheimer and the creation of the Atomic Bomb. The film's box office rival Barbie also has a chance at winning, though as a comedy it is less typical of the usual movies chosen at the Oscars.
Scorsese's epic Killers of the Flower Moon which tells the tragic, true story of the killings of members of the Osage Nation is also a frontrunner thanks to the director's masterful storytelling and the talent of its cast. Poor Things, which stars Emma Stone as a woman brought back from the dead, has also been nominated, and could well win as it has been receiving rave reviews.
One of the dark horses of the Best Picture race is Anatomy Of a Fall, Justine Triet's murder mystery already earned the Palme d'Or at Cannes and has been praised by critics all around the globe. The Zone of Interest was also a surprise entry into the category, though the film has received a number of nominations across the board so appears to be a favourite for voters.
Similarly, Celine Song's Past Lives has been nominated for Best Picture for its stunning storytelling, while the musical remake of The Color Purple has also received a nod.
At the Golden Globes, Oppenheimer won Best Picture in a drama category while Poor Things won the same award in the comedy category. At the Baftas it was Oppenheimer that won, which suggests this film is the one to beat at the Oscars.
The nominees for Best Picture are:
Killers of the Flower Moon
Oppenheimer
American Fiction
Anatomy of a Fall
Poor Things
Past Lives
Barbie
Maestro
The Holdovers
The Color Purple
The Zone of Interest
Who will win Best Director?
Best Director is seen as one of the big awards of the night and there are a few filmmakers who have been nominated for the prize including Scorsese and Yorgos Lanthimos.
The category is dominated by male directors this year but Justine Triet made the cut for her work on Anatomy of a Fall, however Greta Gerwig and Celine Song were left off the shortlist. A surprise entry into the category is Jonathan Glazer, who was nominated for The Zone of Interest.
The Golden Globes saw Christopher Nolan be awarded the prize for Best Director for Oppenheimer, and he also won the same award at the Baftas in February, meaning that he is now the one to beat at the Oscars.
The nominees for Best Director:
Martin Scorsese for Killers of the Flower Moon
Yorgos Lanthimos for Poor Things
Christopher Nolan for Oppenheimer
Justine Triet for Anatomy of a Fall
Jonathan Glazer – The Zone of Interest
Who will win Best Actor?
The Best Actor race is one of the biggest awards of the night and there are several stars who have been nominated for their most recent performances.
It is a battle of the biopics, with Cillian Murphy, Colman Domingo and Bradley Cooper strong contenders to win for their performances in Oppenheimer, Rustin and Maestro respectively. Murphy won the award for Best Actor at the Golden Globes and at the Baftas, though, suggesting he is the one to beat.
Elsewhere, Paul Giamatti has been nominated for The Holdovers —for which he won a Golden Globe in the comedy category— and Jeffrey Wright has also been shortlisted for his work on American Fiction.
The nominees for Best Actor:
Cillian Murphy for Oppenheimer
Bradley Cooper for Maestro
Colman Domingo for Rustin
Paul Giamatti for The Holdovers

Who will win Best Actress?
The race for Best Actress will also be a tough one with Lily Gladstone and Emma Stone both frontrunners for their performances in Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things, respectively. This has been supported by the Golden Globes, which saw both actors win for the drama and comedy categories, respectively.
At the Baftas it was Stone who won the prize, but Gladstone was not nominated in the Best Actress category. However, Gladstone won at the Screen Actors Guild Awards so really it could go either way at the Oscars this year.
Other nominees include Carey Mulligan for her role in Maestro, while Sandra Huller was nominated for Anatomy of a Fall, and Annette Bening is the dark horse of the category for her nomination for Nyad.
Notable snubs from the category include Greta Lee for her performance in Past Lives, and Margot Robbie for her take on Barbie in Greta Gerwig's hit film.

Who will win Best Supporting Actor?
Best Supporting Actor sees Robert Downey Jr as the frontrunner for Oppenheimer, after having swept the board during awards season thus far. He won the same prize at the Golden Globes and the Baftas, which suggests he is likely to win again at the Oscars.
Robert De Niro was also shortlisted for his performance in Killers of the Flower Moon, as well as Ryan Gosling for Barbie. Other nominees in the category include Sterling K Brown for his work acting opposite Wright in American Fiction, and Mark Ruffalo for his performance in Poor Things.

Which film will win Best Animated Feature Film?

The film won the award for best animated film at the Golden Globes, and it was also nominated at the Baftas, making it a strong frontrunner at the Oscars this year.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also likely contender to potentially win the category, while Pixar film Elemental and films like Nimona and Robot Dreams have also been shortlisted.

Elemental
