Let's Go Party! Margot Robbie to Play Barbie in New Live-Action Movie
Or should we say “Margot Barbie”?
Margot Robbie has just signed on to the title role of the Warner Bros. live-action remake about Barbie, according to Variety. Warner Bros. is teaming up with Barbie toymaker Mattel for the film, which has been in the works for years. We’re just wondering what Harley Quinn would think of the doll… (She’d probably rip her head off, TBH.)
The I, Tonya actress will also co-produce the film with husband Tom Ackerley and producer Josey McNamara. The film doesn’t have a title or release date yet.
“I’m so honored to take on this role and produce a film that I believe will have a tremendously positive impact on children and audiences worldwide,” the Mary, Queen of Scots actress said in a statement.
Just one question: Can Armie Hammer play Ken? Asking for a friend.
