Jennifer Lopez: 'Cancelling my tour was the best thing I've ever done'
Jennifer Lopez has admitted cancelling her tour earlier this year was the "best thing" she's ever done.
The superstar left fans disappointed after the decision to scrap her This Is Me... Live concerts back in May.
At the time Jennifer insisted she was "devastated" to let her loyal supporters down, and shortly after the announcement, her divorce from Ben Affleck was confirmed.
During an appearance on this week's The Graham Norton Show, Jennifer addressed her decision to put her private life before her career.
"I took the summer off to be home with the kids, which is the best thing I have ever done," she explained. "It was not like me to do that, so I always want to apologise to the fans."
Jennifer shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
During the interview, the 55-year-old star also recalled meeting a disappointed fan earlier this week and discussing the cancelled concert dates.
"A fan came up to me and said, 'I had tickets to come and see you'. When I apologised, he said, 'Don't say sorry we love you'. I started crying straight away," Jennifer recalled.
As the Unstoppable actress shared the story, she was left shocked to discover the fan was in the audience for The Graham Norton Show.
"Was that you? I don't believe it," Jennifer exclaimed in surprise, as she met the fan and the pair shared an emotional hug.
