Indiana Jones 5 is still on track for a 2021 release
The fifth Indiana Jones movie is still on track for a 2021 release, Disney has confirmed on the publishing of its latest slate.
The Mouse House has revealed its schedule for the next eight years, and Indiana Jones 5 is set for July 21, 2021.
It's been delayed some along the way, however.

When it was originally announced back in 2016, it was slated for a 2019 release, but that came and went, with the acquisition of Fox by Disney happening in the interim.
Steven Spielberg will be at the helm, with his next project being his remake of West Side Story, which will be released on December 18, 2020, according to the Disney slate.
This all means that Harrison Ford – Indiana Jones himself – who is 77 this year will be pushing 80 by the time the movie hits screens.
But he's still very much up for the challenge, though presumably the action sequences will be adjusted accordingly.
Around the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he told Entertainment Weekly: “I’d love to do another Indiana Jones. You know, an audience being there that has enjoyed the films, a character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?”

Though details of the story are not known, the script for the fifth movie was originally penned by David Koepp, the screenwriter responsible for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, as well as movies like Jurassic Park and Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
It was then picked up and re-drafted by Jonathan Kasdan, who co-wrote Solo: A Star Wars Story for Lucasfilm, and whose father Lawrence Kasdan wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark (not to mention The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi).
This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman is also rumoured to have worked on the script.
Meanwhile, Ford is next up in the adaptation of Jack London's Call of the Wild for Fox, which will debut on February 21, 2020, shifted from its planned December, 2019 release date.
