Aljaz Skorjanec gave Alison Hammond hilarious advice for Strictly dance off

Aljaz Skorjanec told Alison Hammond "someone could still fall over" when she facing the axe from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 49-year-old TV presenter - who co-hosts 'The Great British Bake Off' with Noel Fielding - revealed on this week's episode a hilarious bit of advice her what her pro partner partner gave her said when she was facing being eliminated.

During 'Bake Off', contestant John Mincher, became emotional after one of his bakes started to go wrong and Alison - who also hosts 'This Morning' - comforted him by sharing what Aljaz said before she took part in the dance-off.

She explained to John: "When I did Strictly, it was a dance-off and I knew I was going. But Aljaž looked at me and he went, 'She can still fall over'.

"So I'm looking at you now going, 'someone could still burn it'. Go and hold your head up high and enjoy yourself, have a laugh because someone could still fall over!"

Meanwhile, Alison previously shared that she "felt more comfortable" returning to 'Great British Bake Off' for a second series.

She cooed that it felt “so much nicer” returning to the tent of the Channel 4 baking competition the second time round - where she and Noel have reunited with judges Dame Prue Leith, 84, and Paul Hollywood, 58 - after replacing previous host Matt Lucas, 50.

The television personality told Best magazine: “It’s so much nicer coming back into the fold, it felt like a family seeing everybody and it was so nice. I felt more comfortable slipping straight back into it. We do have a laugh.”

Alison - who is one of the most booked faces in British telly - admitted she does indeed “still get nervous” before setting foot on any production but there's still a thrill.

She said: “I still get nervous when I do anything, to be fair. I get excited anyway - that feel of just going into the tent.”
