Brexit and its related policies remain a thorny issue for many Britons. In particular, the UK's departure from the European single market has stirred up debate recently. Our poll asked whether the prime minister, Keir Starmer, should try and return the country to it.

The poll received 4,523 votes. More than half of readers thought that the prime minister should try and make the move.

In total, 55% of readers answered yes, compared with 36% who answered no, while 9% were undecided.
