Yasiel Puig is ready for the World Series with blue hair and 'Tongues Out' cleats
Yasiel Puig, right fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has had a stupendous postseason. He hit .455 in the Dodgers’ three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Division Series, and .389 in their five-game NLCS victory over the Chicago Cubs. And on Monday, he told the world that he’s ready for the World Series. But do you think he’s really, really ready? Let’s take a look and find out …

OK yes, he is definitely ready. Those cleats — which are pretty sharp — are a cacophony of Puig-ness. There’s a Dodger blue snakeskin pattern, the World Series logo, his nickname “Wild Horse,” and his now-famous “Tongues Out” slogan. And most importantly, on the top of the left cleat, there is an amazing painting of Puig actually giving everyone The Tongue. That’s pretty ready, right? It would be, except there’s more.
Well then! The top of Puig’s hair is dyed Dodger blue, and the sides have been detailed in red. I’m pretty sure there is no one on Earth more ready for the World Series than Yasiel Puig.
Game 1 of the 2017 World Series is in the books, and Puig went 0-for-3. But good news: he’s got at least three more games to do something that warrants the appearance of The Tongue. And knowing Puig (and how much he loves giving that tongue wag), he definitely will.
