Xavier Worthy gets called one-dimensional by foolish Bengals cornerback before their Chiefs game
For all intents and purposes, I consider the rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals to be the best in the NFL right now. Not only is the on-field product always quality, but the Bengals themselves seem to be content to trash-talk the Chiefs at every possible turn.
The key point to note about that is the Bengals' trash-talk usually backfires. That's not surprising, considering Kansas City has Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, the NFL's best quarterback and coach, respectively.
And yet, here the Bengals are, once again stoking the fires before another heated matchup in Kansas City this Sunday.
In the Bengals' locker room Thursday, Cincinnati cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt said he's not worried about covering electric Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy — who scored two touchdowns in his NFL debut last week. Why? Because Taylor-Britt considers him a one-dimensional player who is over-reliant on his speed.
Oof. Oh, buddy, that is the LAST thing you should be saying before a Chiefs game:

Look, I get it. The Bengals hate the Chiefs. And they should. They're standing in the way of a theoretical Cincinnati Super Bowl. We need more competitive hate in professional sports. We really do.
But at a certain point, you'd think the Bengals would learn their lesson about the Chiefs. They should just let their play do the talking rather than give Kansas City more bulletin board material before every single matchup. Because what they've been doing so far clearly has diminished returns.
Oh, well, it's their funeral. I now look forward to Andy Reid scheming in a gazillion Worthy plays into the Chiefs' offense on Sunday.
