WWE heads down under for Elimination Chamber 2024
TKO Group Holdings, the new WWE and UFC merger company, has announced the first event as a newly formed group and the highly anticipated WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth.
The upcoming event will take place at Opus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, on Saturday, February 24, 2024. This will be the first WWE event in Australia since 2018.
Women’s World Champion and Australia native Rhea Ripley expressed her happiness with the choice of location. She stated that she is extremely proud to represent Australia every time she enters a WWE ring and that bringing a premium live event to Perth is a dream come true for her.
WWE Senior Vice President Chris Legentil said in the press release, “Perth would be an excellent choice for a major WWE Premium Live Event in Australia, following successful events in other international locations.”
TKO Group Holdings aims to replicate the success of the record-breaking 2023 WWE Elimination Chambers held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, which saw a 54 percent increase in viewership, surpassing any record set in 2022.
