The playoffs are in full swing, with district tournaments in basketball and wrestling, and the Independent Schools and Catholic League championships in swimming and indoor track & field. Check out the best postseason performances from Feb. 12-18, and then vote for the Boys Playoff Performer of the Week and Girls Playoff Performer of the Week.
Top Playoff Performances in Boys Basketball:
Alex Best, Upper Moreland
The senior sank two go-ahead free throws to secure the Golden Bears first-round win over Holy Ghost Prep in District One Class 5A. He finished with a team-high 19 points in the 79-76 victory.
Adrien Varella, Holy Ghost
In the first round of District One 5A, the junior did all he could to get the win, scoring a game-high 24 points and giving the Firebirds the lead with 23 seconds to go, but they ultimately fell to Upper Moreland 79-76.
Colson Campbell, Upper Moreland
Two of the junior;s four steals occurred in the final minute of the Golden Bears thrilling win over Holy Ghost in the first round of districts. He also scored 13 points in the 79-76 win.
Bowen Gugger, CB West
He had a game-high 16 points as the Bucks topped Pennsbury in the opening round of the District One Class 6A playoffs.
AJ Washington, Dock Mennonite
The senior erupted for 28 points to lead Dock Mennonite over Delco Christian in the BAL championship game and was named tournament MVP.
Nate Townsend, Neshaminy
The senior scored 10 points in a District One 6A first-round loss to Conestoga, finishing his career with 1,000 points to become the sixth player in school history to reach that milestone.

Sofia Vitucci, Pennsbury
She poured in 22 points to lead the Falcons to the win over Bensalem in the first round of District One 6A.
Lola Ibarrondo, Neshaminy
She led the way in Neshaminy’s first-round win over Ridley, scoring 16 points, including a trio of 3-pointers in the first half.
Alena Cofield, Neshaminy
She scored five of her eight points in the first quarter to help Neshaminy to a 13-5 start en route to a win over Ridley in their first-round matchup.
Emilia Coleman, Gwynedd Mercy
The sophomore scored 23 points to lead the Monarchs to the AACA title with a 46-25 win over Villa Maria in the championship game. She was also named AACA league MVP.
Mikaya Durham, Abington
She led the way with 12 points and five rebounds in the Ghosts’ first-round victory over Great Valley.
Maya Johnson, Abington
The point guard dished out six assists along with nine points and five steals in Abington’s first-round win over Great Valley in the first round of District One 6A playoffs.
Fiona Reckner, Council Rock South
After trailing 20-15 at halftime, Reckner scored seven points in the third to tie the Golden Hawks and Unionville in their first-round matchup. She finished with 11 points in the District One 6A win.
Kathryn O’Kane, Council Rock South
She had six of her 10 points in the fourth quarter, going 4-for-4 from the free throw line to secure the narrow 43-40 win over Unionville in the district opener.
Emily Knouse Archbishop Wood
She scored a game-high 19 in the Vikings win over Conwell-Egan in the PCL quarterfinals.
Grace McDonough, Lansdale Catholic
The junior had a standout effort in the PCL quarterfinals, tallying 12 points and 12 rebounds though the Crusaders fell to Archbishop Carroll 35-33.
Gianna Johnson, George School
The senior delivered a huge performance with 14 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Cougars to a first round win over Mercersburg in the PAISAA playoffs.

Top Performances from the PAISAA Indoor Track & Field State Championships:
Aum Desai, Solebury School
The senior took home two gold medals, winning both the boys 1,600-meter run (4:38.52) and the 3,200-meter run (9:48.45).
Blake Brown, Germantown Academy
The senior won the boys long jump (21-4.5) and finished second in the triple jump (42-2.5).
CJ Mersky, Germantown Academy
The senior took first place in the boys shot put, hitting a mark of 41-10.25.
Margaret Austin Massengi, George School
She won the girls 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:19.13.
Layla Gentile, Germantown Academy
The junior won the girls shot put with a 33-10 throw.
Ava Gregorio, George School
The junior won the girls long jump with her 16-1.25 leap.
Lorelai Fortmann, Germantown Academy
The junior won the girls pole vault with her mark of 10-3.

Anthony Conrey, Conwell-Egan
The senior won the boys long jump, leaping 23-2.25 at the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions, which qualified as No. 2 in PA this season.
Luke Coleman, Abington
He took second place in the boys 400-meter run with a time of 50.16 at the Meet of Champions.
Mateo Barrera, Souderton
The junior finished second at the Meet of Champions in the boys 200-meter dash, sprinting to a 22.81 finish.
Rocco Pugliese, Pennsbury
The senior ran the boys mile race in 4:25.99, good for second place at the Meet of Champions.
DeRonn Adams, Pennsbury
The senior had a great showing at the Meet of Champions, taking third place in the boys 60-meter dash (7.08) and sixth in the 200-meter dash (23.37).
Mimi Duffy, CB West
She won the girls 400-meter run with a time of 58.07, finished second in the girls 60-meter dash (7.77) at the Tim Hickey Meet of Champions.
Madison Gee, North Penn
The senior took first place in the long jump (18-2.75) and second in the triple jump (37-6.75) at the Meet of Champions.
Destini Smith, Souderton
The junior won the triple jump (37-08.75) at the Meet of Champions.
Bailey Hall, Pennsbury
She finished second in the girls 3,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 10:40.84 at the Meet of Champions.
Riley Rooney, CB South
The junior was the winner of the girls 800-meter run, with a speedy 2:18.74 time at the Meet of Champions.
Top Performances from the District 1/12 Girls Wrestling Championships:
Local girls wrestling teams competed at the first-ever District One/District 12 Girls Wrestling Championships on Saturday.
Souderton Head Coach Chris Atkinson was named the District One Coaches Association Man of the Year, while Pennsbury head coach Craig Williams was named as the District One Coach of the Year.
Grace Nesbitt, Neshaminy
The freshman won the 100-pound championship going 3-0 with two pins in under one minute. She earned the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler award.
Julia Horger, Conwell-Egan
The sophomore won the 106-pound championship, going 4-0 with two pins.
Gisele Ramirez, Souderton
The senior won the 118-pound title, going 3-0 with three pins, including one in 18 seconds.
Kayla Husti-Luca, Souderton
The junior went 4-0 with three wins by fall to win the 130-pound championship.
Maya Krieger, Bensalem
The junior won the 170-pound championship after going 3-0.
Caroline Hattala, Quakertown
The sophomore took home gold after winning the 190-pound title, pinning her opponent in 27 seconds in the championship match.

Delzingaro, who had a win by fall in the title match at 114 pounds, was one of four Golden Bears to win championships at the Suburban One League Freedom Division tournament last Wednesday.
Kevin McFadden, Pennridge
The freshman, who had a fall in the title match at 107 pounds, was one of seven Rams to win championships at the Suburban One League Colonial Division tournament last Wednesday.
Aidan Morrison, Hatboro-Horsham
Morrison, who had a win by fall in the title match, claimed the 139-pound championship at the Suburban One League Liberty Division tournament last Wednesday.
Thomas Boyce, Conwell-Egan
The freshman won the 107-pound title at the Philadelphia Catholic League championships, winning both matches by pin.
Kevin Bagnell, Conwell-Egan
He won the 114-pound title at the PCL championships, going 3-0 with two pins of 31 and 30 seconds.

Emily Hamill, Germantown Academy
The University of Georgia commit took home two individual gold medals, winning both the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.75) and 500 freestyle (4:48.98) to help the Patriots win the girls title for the third straight year.
Amelia Gipson, Germantown Academy
The freshman finished second in the 500 freestyle with her time of 4:51:89 and placed seventh in the 100 butterfly (56.57).
Sarah Freeman, Germantown Academy
The junior earned a pair of silver medals, finishing second in the 50 freestyle (23.42) and the 100 freestyle (50.61).
Landon D'Ariano, Germantown Academy
The University of Texas commit won the boys 100 IM (1:46.29) and finished third in the 200 freestyle (1:37.76).
Andy Zhou, Germantown Academy
