Marvin Harrison Junior, uh, did not receive a target until midway through the second quarter in which he dropped wide open and easy curl route.
Um, three targets.
Uh, but in his defense, he didn't play in any of the preseason games.
There was no real live reps with Kyler Murray, the Buffalo Bills.
Uh, absolutely provided safety help to cover Harrison throughout Sunday's game.
It was just, it was clear the entire time.
Uh, Harrison was wide open.
I know it's been talked about late in the fourth quarter.
Uh Murray sees him.
He looks to the right after the pump fake half a second longer.
Marvin Harrison Junior catches a game winning touchdown to win by one point in his NFL debut and the whole perception's different because there's absolutely no history here.
Yeah, I mean, there's some panic, right?
I mean, you, you, you're spending the highest draft pick ever on a fantasy rookie and he goes out and lays an egg week one.
So you have, you have to be crazy not to panic a little, but I mean, the, the offense looked great.
It was a tough matchup.
Far better days are ahead.
Minimal panic the reason I'm, I don't wanna panic here is because I generally like the way the offense flowed.
I think Murray played pretty well in a tough spot on the road against one of the best defensive coaches in the league and Sean mcdermott.
Uh, they're probably, as you mentioned, scheming to take Harrison away.
I, I think they overdid it with Greg Dorsch.
Uh, as I said on Sunday night's game, like, come on, man, let's get, uh, let's get the guy, the big guys, the football here.
I, I just don't think we will see very many games where Marvin Harrison Junior and Michael Wilson who caught the touchdown early on and then that was pretty much it.
I just do not think there will be very many weeks when those guys combine for, you know, uh, five freaking targets and I'm not sure if he did the final drive, but the last stat I saw Kyler Murray, like, did not complete a pass, uh, over 10 yards in this game.
It was windy conditions and it was all underneath.
He did, he was not attacking downfield at all.
So things will get better, forget the, the yards and the touchdowns, uh, lack of them.
You just look at the lack of targets and you're just a little, you know, a little concerned.
