CASSANDRA NEGLEY: This is Cassandra Negley with Yahoo Sports, and we're breaking down the NCAA tournament by region so that you can fill out your brackets. Let's start with Greenville 1, where the reigning champion South Carolina Gamecocks are your number one overall seed. Now, it's going to be tough for any team to defeat South Carolina in this tournament, but let's look at some challengers on this side of the bracket.

We could see two rematches for South Carolina. Number 4 seed UCLA was one of only five teams to lose to the Gamecocks by single digit points this season. That was back in November when the Bruins led at halftime.

Also in November, Maryland lost by 25, but that was in the second game of the season. And the Terps are a much more cohesive team, they've gone through the Big Ten, they know how to play in these big time games. Another team you'll want to look out for is number 5, Oklahoma, one of the best offenses in the nation. And then the South Carolina Gamecocks get it done on defense, so that could be an interesting match-up.

One thing you'll really want to pay attention to in this bracket is Notre Dame, the number 3 seed. Now, Notre Dame was an incredible team all season, absolutely earned that number three seed. But in the season finale, point guard Olivia Miles appeared to injure her knee. She did not play in the ACC tournament. The selection committee said that they were not told that she is not playing, so they had to believe she's available. Now, this could be huge for a team like Creighton, which could get through, because Notre Dame is not going to be the same team without their star point guard.
