The Atlanta Dream named Karl Smesko their new coach Wednesday, six weeks after firing Tanisha Wright. Smesko is the longtime Florida Gulf Coastcoach, spending 23 seasons in Fort Myers, Florida. Four WNBA head-coaching positions remain open. The coaching carousel -- which at one point included seven open head-coaching positions -- started five days after the WNBA regular season ended, when the Los Angeles Sparks parted ways with Miller on Sept. 24.
